VRI

VRI (Vlaamse Ruimtevaartindustrie - Flemish Space Industries) is an association of 32 Flemish companies, research centres and educational institutions involved in the aerospace field. The objective of this non-profit association, founded in 1995, is to develop synergies between companies and thus to facilitate the setting up of joint ventures. The association represents its members in cooperating with the Belgian and Flemish Authorities and sets up actions to enhance the aerospace industry's image and to raise its image among a wide public.

The member companies of this association specialize in the design and manifacturing of instruments and 'payloads' for research in space, in the construction of small satellites, in the development and manufacturing of command and control systems for data processing and spacecraft monitoring, in new developments in satellite telecommunication and in the provision of services associated with aerospace technology.
